Although I haven’t covered any of London’s Olympics, I have been as enthralled as everyone.
Danny Boyle’s Opening Ceremony was a triumph and a true representation of Britain’s history, Jessica Ennis was a dream and the Jamaican relay team had me clutching the sofa as they made me and the entire country proud.
I didn’t think the Closing Ceremony was as spectacular as the Opening until these ladies took to the stage and reminded the world of the fashion heavyweights we have produced: from Kate to Naomi, Georgia to Jourdan and the disturbingly dreamy David Gandy.
The models (well the Supers) took to the stage in custom designed pieces by the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Stephen Jones, which were featured in September’s British Vogue.
The Spice Girls were without doubt the only act who could follow them, and the five-some looked stunning as they took us all back to our teens; a great night to be British.
