Paris Fashion Week’s Finest & SLP

Saint Laurent Paris S/S13

I was desperately hoping that Kate Moss was on the front row at Hedi Slimane’s first public show for Saint Laurent Paris as the entire collection was made for her.

Completely bewitched by the former head of Dior Homme’s first show, since his controversial name change for YSL, the show was a shameless return to glamour. As well as  encapsulating modern icon Kate Moss, French Vogue editor Emmanuelle Alt, and Jane Birkin’s daughter Lou Doillon, Slimane’s show was not glamorous in the way we’ve come to know it- not ostentatious, not flashy it was effortlessly cool, thoroughly french and completely true to YSL.

To say that Paris Fashion Week has been a visual feast, would be an understatement. The highly-anticipated week of Fashion Royalty on and off the catwalk has eclipsed every other fashion week this season.

From Kanye to Arizona, Poppy and Cara to Dree and Josephine, PFW has been a showcase- from Burton’s bee-keepers at McQueen or the much-anticipated shows of Raf Simons at Dior and Hedi Slimane at YSL (or as we should call it SLP) there have been many a historical moment; as well as some impeccably presented men and women. Here are my PFW off-catwalk highlights.
