Christopher Bailey, understands British weather so consequently understands rain.
This may have something to do with the fact that Burberry, was the only show who’s Spring/Summer collection was an ode to the unruly weather.
Although it’s not quite raining today, the weather has taken a slight dive, after the soaring heights that were reached last week. But it’s alright, because Bailey’s got it covered literally.
Being the prophet that he is, Bailey sent models down the runway in swimsuits and capes, metallic macs and waterproof bowler bags.
The element that really brings the look together is the punchy red lip.
Strolling through the city streets in a trench and sunnies is all well and good, but the silky finish and strong pigment, not only shows you mean business but draws attention to the mouth, which is never a bad thing.
Burberry’s Lip Mist in Rosy Red, as modelled by Brit model Rosie Tapner, needs little else more than, a sheer foundation, groomed brows and a sweep of mascara.
Burberry Lip Mist in Rosy Red, £22.50
I’ve tried the lip mist in Chestnut, which is a great nude that suits pretty much everyone (although I think darker skin tones should always opt for something more rosy). It’s super silky and the wild rose extract really hydrates lips, so I wear mine more as a lip balm or base, which is slightly extravagant but feels so good!
Whichever hue you prefer, do it Burberry style, with a trench, sunnies and a smile.
