Lipstick Friday!! It’s a thing; kind of.

When you’re trying to look professional it’s hard to know how far you can go with make-up.
Although less is always best, sometimes you fancy going a bit cray and working a lipstick.

Dress down Fridays doesn’t really apply to me, but I think on a Friday, especially with the imminence of after-work drinks, it’s nice to get yourself in the mood with a bit of lipstick. So I’ve decided every Friday should be a Lipstick Friday, and I’ll be trying a new lippie every week.
Even though it’s pay day Friday I’m sure a lot of you have boots, bags or blow dries that you’ve been saving up for, so I thought I’d start with a cheapie.

Today I’m loving Collection (yes Collection are still going strong!) Having dropped the 2000, Collection have taken things up a notch, with a range of varnishes: gel and 10-day wear, shadow pencils and glosses. So far I’ve tried the gel varnish in Think Pink, which has been my summer staple, and the Deluxe Lipstick.

The Deluxe Lipstick, which I’ve tried in Prohibition, is amazing regardless of the price, which is an incredibly cheap £3.99! The lipsticks are enriched with Avocado oil, Shea butter and Vitamin E which not only means they glide on, but they keep your lips soft and nourished. I have lipsticks 5x the price of this and for hydration it rivals them all, although it will require some lipcote if you want it to stay all day.

It’s a deep dark berry, which suits all skin tones, and it smells wonderful. In the morning I go for a gentle blot for a softer look and I re-apply throughout the day, so by the time it’s time for drinks I’m left with a strong lip.

For the fast of finger among you, Collection are giving away free samples online here
For those who aren’t, you best run to Boots, as they won’t be around for long.
Available at Boots online, and Superdrug September 25th.
