Last night most of the world’s most beautiful men descended on London for the GQ Annual Men of the Year Awards. There was eye-candy a plenty, with guests including Eddie Redmayne, David Gandy, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Douglas Booth and Tom Ford (I know I can’t turn him, but still, wow). Other legends in attendance included Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Douglas (who won the Legend Award, naturally) and Tracey Emin (quite possibly my favourite woman in the world).
Being GQ, there were plenty of hotties in attendance to give the boys something to aim for. The infallible Rosie H-W rocked up in a white pvc Versace dress, that only she could make look elegant, Emma Watson got her belly out and Jourdan Dunn, well, got her baps out.
However there were two women who couldn’t have dressed more perfectly for the occasion: Daisy Lowe and Laura Carmichael (or Lady Edith as we all know her so fondly).
Daisy did Daisy, bringing sexy back in the demurest of fashions, in a plunging black Saint Laurent gown, red lipstick and pointed red T-bar heels. Though her knickers were (intentionally) on show, the swathes of black chiffon and the large black cumberband style belt, gave the whole look an air of effortless elegance.
Carmichael, on the other hand, paid tribute to the boys in a midnight Kooples trouser suit, tailored to perfection, with single-strap sandals and no shirt (Edith you saucy thing!) Laura also sexed up her suit with tousled just-got-out-of-bed hair, smokey eyes and a pink lip.
