Over in London, the weather has taken a turn for the worse and it seems that autumn is finally upon us.
Thankfully Miuccia Prada has thought of what to do when you find yourself in rainy climates; just run with it and rock wet hair.
The Prada show was one of my favourites last season, a roll call of some of the best models to have walked for Prada. Catherine McNeill opened the show with her signature pouty stomp, oblivious, or indeed impervious, to the fact that she had wet hair and was fully dressed.
It was a theme that continued as models’ took to the runway in fur coats, or aviators and a cardigan slipping off the shoulder, all with wet hair.
This was true insouciance, this was a woman who could wander out with wet hair fully clothed and still look fresh; rebuffing any perceptions of madness.
Although there was an element of mania to this dishevelled woman-wandering down Prada’s eerie, yet cinematic runway- her fur-trimmed Prada coat enabled her to maintain a sense of superiority.; whilst a blotted berry lip, added a touch of easy elegance
Not only is it the season’s most achievable look, easily maintained by using Redken‘s Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam, but it speaks volumes of the power of Prada’s clothes; so sumptuous, so ennobling that you don’t even need to dry your hair.
