Backstage Beauty – AW14 Beauty Trends to Wear Now and All Summer Long

Spring is intermittently in the air and though we are all looking forward to the blue eyeshadow and orange lips designers have decreed for Spring/Summer, it’s very hard to forget all of the gorgeous looks from the season we’ve just seen, Autumn/Winter.

I’ve had a browse around and it seems that A/W14 was thankfully very Springy.  Colourful eyes dominated the season, everywhere from Dior to Altuzurra, so even though we can’t quite get the double decker Versace lashes out yet, there’s lots to get to grips with.
Metallic Strips of Blue & Green – Dior

We’ve seen huge sweeps of gel liners on top of lids, but never before have we seen liquid latex. The metallic finish of the latex liner was even more striking in huge strips of piscine blue and khaki green.

Pink Sweep – DVF

This AW14, Diane von Furstenburg celebrated her 40th anniversary with a parade of wrap dresses, and opted for a low-key look with ballet-inspired buns and vinyl pastel pink lids.

Yellow Shimmer – Altuzurra

At Altuzurra a lime tinged yellow glitter was dotted across eyelids, resulting in an effortlessly fresh face.

Pink wash – Burberry

Burberry‘s AW14 show was an uplifting and very Spring for an AW show, so it came as no surprise that eyelids were washed with powdery pastel pink to offset the camel trenches and painterly pastel prints.

Lilac lids at Chloe

In-keeping with Parisian cool, faces were kept fuss-free at Chloe, with a simple sweep of lilac on the lids.

A Sweep of silver and flick of neon at Chanel

At Chanel lids, were swept with a matte silver eyeshadow and given a flick with neon pink, orange and teal eyeliners.
