For those of you that (like me) spend far longer in the Beauty aisle in Waitrose, than you do adhering to your grocery list, you will surely have already been distracted by Burt’s Bees.
If you are drawn to the sound of this bee-friendly range but haven’t quite uncovered that special something to pop into your basket, this as Dolce & Gabbana would say is ’The One’.
Burt’s Bees Hand Repair Cream with Shea Butter, sounds pretty standard as far as hand creams go. However, in this instance, do not judge a book by its cover. Not that there is anything wrong with its cover, mind you. However in this instance (as with most) it is what’s on the inside that counts.
With essential botanical oil infusions of lavender, macadamia nut, rosehip, neroli and borage, this super rich, yet natural butter is a treat. The scent is divine and has guaranteed its status as a permanent fixture in my handbag.
As for those busy bees, not only do they provide us girls with some of our most essential beauty ingredients such as royal jelly, we also rely on them for a 1/3 of our food supply. The bad news is that our fuzzy friends are dying out-and with them will go Flora and Fauna too.
Research indicates that we may have as little as a decade to save the bees. With that in mind, let’s support our British bees and the companies, like Burt’s Bees that protect them and make us even more beautiful at the same time.
