When it comes to fragrance, an elegant bottle and an uplifting scent rank most highly in our requirements. A lot have been tried, but these are Blush’s favourites
Caron Paris may be a haute parfumerie that launched in Paris over a hundred years ago, but their bottles retain a modern classicism. My Ylang, is a haute fragrance dominated by delicate ylang ylang and seamlessly fused with green vanilla, tangerine and blackcurrant notes. It is the ultimate summer day fragrance for those who like to stand out. £105 for 100ml.
Agent Provocateur have built an empire on seduction, so it comes as no surprise that their latest fragrance, Fatale, delivers just that. One spritz of the pink peppered scent instantly makes you want to don a negligee and book a room somewhere. With mango and blackcurrant sweetening the Madagascan pepper, gardenia, Vanilla and patchouli instantly make the medley feel familiar; perfect for balmy beach nights. £62 for 100ml
Penhaligon’s Tralala deserves a spot in this list for the bottle alone. I received the fragrance created by Meadham Kirchoff for Penhaligons, at the design duos London Fashion Week show at the Tate. The fantastical fairground themed show was my first Meadham Kirchoff show and I loved every minute of it. Tralala filled the air as models worked their way through silver streamers and around giant hearts.
The scent itself is a heady mix of saffron, whiskey, carnations and leather. Attoped with a plush bordeaux velvet bow and encased in a ballerina style jewellery box, it is everything you could dream of an more. £150 for 100ml.
