As my rather ‘proper’ retro bob begins its journey into a lob, I’ve been looking for a look to sex things up. It doesn’t get much sexier than Tom Ford’s SS15 woman, with her sequin nipple tasseled dress, shaggy hair and morning after makeup. Ford is always a safe bet when in search of something sexy (he did define sexy in the noughties after all.)
For SS15 Mr Ford left the floral prints and diaphanous day dresses to the young bucks and instead opted for high voltage glamour. Whilst the metallic finish flares had seventies glam rock appeal, it was all about his shaggy lobs- easily achievable by disrupting your parting and power hair spraying- and of course the smokey eye.

Tom Ford’s cream colour for eyes in Spring (£29, Harvey Nichols)– a buildable smokey grey, crease-less and so easy to apply that it makes make-up artists out of us all -followed.
Charlotte finished the look with a brow defining powder (she used TF’s brow sculptor but you can use any) and a sweep of mascara.
Sticking to the rules of make-up, Tilbury balanced the dark rock and roll eyes with a nude lip. I think Tom Ford’s are the best without a doubt and for this look I’d recommend Tom Ford’s lip colour in Vanilla Suede (£37, John Lewis).
Though this is essentially a rebellious summer look, inspired by Chrissie Hynde- the lady that Kate Moss looks to for inspiration- it is the perfect look for right now and any other time you find yourself out on the town.
