Get the Look – Boxy jackets and Bombers

This was originally a post inspired by a Holly Fulton jacket I saw. A dainty pink number with an encrusted collar and bejewelled buttons, which upon closer inspection was entirely latex. Summery and subversive an item which could be dressed up or down- it was perfection.

But as I researched edgy Harringtons and lady-like boxys, another jacket began to infiltrate my focus. Somewhere between the varsity jacket I recently bought and the O.C Bomber I’d seen on Instagram, I couldn’t shake their relevance to this piece. The perfect dress-me-down cover-up; the ideal companion to chiffon dresses and cotton tanks with denim, it was becoming increasingly clear that space needed to be made for this worthy adversary; and then I saw the Urban Outfitters bomber.
