Whether you’re back from your hols and need something to look forward to, or are just in need of a make-up bag shake up, there’s nothing better than a new product or palette to oogle over. This month sees the launch of newbies from YSL, M.A.C and new kid on the block, Scott Cornwall.
M.A.C x Giambattista Valli
I’m a huge fan of Giambattista Valli’s work on the runway, so I was super excited to hear of his launch with M.A.C Cosmetics. The make-up maestros and king of couture have teamed up to offer a range of five matte lipsticks and clear lip glaze for the die-hard gloss fans out there. There’s the pale pink Bianca B, hot pink Tats, peachy Magherita, Yellow-red Charlotte and dark cherry Eugenie. All of the limited edition creamy mattes come in M.A.C’s signature bullets, colour coded for your handbag convenience.
M.A.C x Giambattista Valli, Lipstick, £17, available at M.A.C
YSL – Pretty Metal – Fall 2015
July 29th sees the launch of the new YSL Fall collection, and as always it’s a beauty. YSL are adding to their standout collection of palettes, with the limited edition couture palette Metal Clash. Encased in white gold with a studded YSL logo, Metal Clash is made up of ashen gold, dirty burgundy and illuminating lilac shasows, with dark plum and chocolate at hand for easy eye contouring. As ever the collection houses the iconic YSL Rouge Volupte (£26) in Sound (coral pink), Grunge (bright pink with violet grey undertones) and Rock (blood-red with a touch of burgundy), as well as three rose and violet tinted glosses.
New to the collection, is the Couture Brow Shaper mascara (£21), in ashen blonde and glazed brown; and just in case that still wasn’t enough, they’ve launched the Couture Metal Manicure (£25): a pair of black and gold studded and sequinned nail wraps, which are sure to fly off the shelves come Autumn.
YSL, Pretty Metal, available from July 29th, at yslbeauty.co.uk
Scott Cornwall – Colour Restore Candy
Pink hair has been on the beauty scene for quite some time, and seemingly shows no signs of stopping. If you’re looking for a softer more wearable pink or have done a Poppy Delevigne and gone platinum blonde for the summer, then Scott Cornwall’s Colour restore Candy is the logical next step. Depending on your original colour, Cornwall’s Colour restore candy, gives blush pink or soft apricot tones to platinum, bleached or very light blonde bases and transforms brassy blonde shades into an office-friendly strawberry blonde.
The conditioning toner is ammonia and peroxide- free, meaning that you can move on from that luminous white, without a worry.
Scott Cornwall, Colour restore candy toner, £11.99, Boots.
