This week’s probably the last week, we can really get behind a summer trend. London rain isn’t helping, but as sad as it is to say, summer is drawing to a close. Whilst I’m still in need of a lot more tanning, there are so many beauty looks for next season I can’t wait to try. But first one more week of Seventies love.
For Net-a-Porter’s weekly online glossy, The Edit, Lily Aldridge channelled her role as a rock & roll wifey. The Victoria’s Secret model, who’s married to Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, is the perfect for poster girl for the summer’s Seventies trend. Her shaggy shearling and suede skirts epitomise what we love about the era that’s never too far away from a revival; but it was her beauty look that we’ll be channelling this weekend. Grown out bangs, dark defined brows and the perfect nude lipstick; the only way to say farewell to Summer.

Brows
Nothing frames the face better than good brows. Bold is still the way to go, so get threaded at Blink and then use the Eylure brow kit, to groom.
The mini palette comes with a wax, powder and highlighter; with each palette specifically designed to compliment your hair colour.

Mascara
The absence of eyeshadow or liner, injected a shot of youth into Lily’s look. Doll-eyed lashes are all you need here and are the perfect pairing for nude lips and soft bangs. Benefit’s They’re Real mascara is the best for lengthier lashes.

Lipstick
There’s no nude better than Tom Ford- smooth, conditioning and just the right side of matte. They are pretty pricey, at £38 a pop, but the packaging alone is a pick me up. For fairer complexions, it has to be the classic Sable Smoke and for darker complexions, Coco Ravish is a great modern mink.
