Get the Look: NYE SHINE

Take inspiration from Kate Moss, the Queen of the party, this NYE and go hard on sparkle.

Nothing screams a celebration like glitter. So here are our top pieces to shine in, this NYE.

The Shoes:

Channel disco divas Diana Ross and Jerry Hall and opt for high voltage glamour.

Team a jumpsuit with a velvet turban and glitter platforms, or shiny shoes.

L-R: Gucci, Glitter Platforms, $422; Saint Laurent, Candy Glitter Wedge Platforms, £639; Nasty Gal, Metallic Disco Platforms £46.39; Topshop, Sienna Peep-toe Platforms, £49.

The Face:

Load up on glitter a la Kate in this shot by Solve Sundsbo. Ignore the lips or eyes rule and team with a rich red matte lipstick, like Lipstick Queen’s Velvet Rope in Private Party.

M.A.C’s Pigments are a great option for easy to build-up shimmer.

Complete the look with a little liner at the roots of your lashes and a touch of contour powder; Nars’ Contour kit is my palette of choice.

The Nails:

Blush London loves sparkle

If all of the above sounds like way too much work and you don’t plan on leaving the house, let alone your slippers; acknowledge the year ahead with sparkly nails. By Terry’s chunky two-tone top coat is the chic way to do sparkle, whilst Morgan Taylor’s molten silver varnish will look great with that 90s slip

The Future:

pandora-sykes topshop dress

If, however, you’re feeling really hardcore why not take inspiration from J.W Anderson’s AW15, 80s Berlin inspired turtleneck dress, in Topshop’s Livonia Dress as seen on Style Blogger Pandora Sykes. Team with giant statement earrings and a pared back beauty look;  a modern spin on a classic- perfect for a new year.
