I’m new to the jewellery game, but I’ve been upping the ante of late. The lovely chaps at Rocks & Co, offered me the chance to get to know their site and pick something I liked. It was actually a lot harder than I anticipated it would be. The great thing is that they have a wealth of options, for all budgets and tastes; the tough thing, is that they have a wealth of options for all budgets and all tastes.
Rocks & Co is a site that’s extremely difficult not to get carried away on, mainly because you are guaranteed to find a lot you like and a lot you can afford, but hey, there are worse things.
After a lot of umming and aahing between yellow, clear and pink diamonds, round cut, pear shaped or square cut gems, I opted for a yellow gold engagement style ring (my new obsession, yep, quite worrying) with mini diamonds across the band. It’s my new favourite thing and something that adds a little bit of occasion to the every day.
With Christmas coming up, this is a site you will want to get familiar with, as you can literally buy necklaces, earrings, bracelets or rings, from £40-£4,000. You can participate in the live auction, or watch their tv channel to get a better understanding of what you like and what’s what. If you really have no clue where to start, I’d recommend requesting their Welcome Pack, which comes with a ring sizer, that I actually spent far too much time playing around with- turns out every one of my finger’s is a different size, so it’s acctually really useful. Most of the rings are one of a kind, which makes them even more special, as gifts for loved ones, or in my case, yourself.
Rocks & Co, has been the perfect place for me to begin on my mission to emulate Elizabeth Taylor and bag myself a new rock every few months. I mean why have one engagement ring when you can have 10 or 20?
However unlike Lizzie, I want to buy all of my rings myself; That to me is modern feminism: the ability to buy one’s own bling.
