Blush Loves – The Zara Home – Perfume Collection

Zara is one of those not so secret gems. You can always rely on it, for that last minute change of clothes before an event, that trend led piece you’re not quite ready to invest in, or those strappy sandals you need for your bestie’s wedding. It’s the high street’s answer to affordable chic.

Another Zara secret for those in the know, are their fragrances: casually positioned at the till with little fanfare, but one spritz is enough to convince you of their quality. They’re not overbearing, overly sweet or soapy, they are just right.

The new collection of Zara fragrances, is actually by Zara Home, for the pure reason that, according to Zara: “Home is an expression of self- offering an instant glimpse into our style, our memories, our souls.” In short, they are grown-up, unisex scents, that would make even the most house proud happy.

The Zara Home Perfume Collection, consists of six scents for the woman who likes to smell a little masculine, or the man that wants to embrace his feminine side.

Created in collaboration with world class perfumers: Alberto Morillas and Jerome Epinette; and the creative genius that is Fabien Baron; this is Zara declaring themselves as the driving force in fashion that they have duly become.

Baron’s impeccable taste can be attributed to the stunning minimal packaging, that would be right at home alongside the likes of Tom Ford and Chloe.

The six scents on offer are:

Tonka Wood: a smokey sensuous scent, with top notes of bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant; core notes of midnight violet, lily of the valley; and base notes of vetiver, tonka bean and praline flower.

Aqua Bergamota – a slightly masculine medley of green bergamot, tangerine aroma, primofiore lemon, neroli, blackcurrant and pamplewood.

Cuir Velvet: an airy masculine conception of cayenne pepper, lemon, ginger, geranium, provence lavender, elem, patchouli, Australian sandalwood and marine accords

Evitorial Twist: a seriously sexy blend of sage, lavender flower, ginger, cedar, cardamom and musk.

They’re all stunning and ready to rival the most expensive of Eaus. The standouts for me are: Evitorial Twist, Aqua Bergamota and Tonga Wood- all rich without being overly heady. The Cuir Velvet is also exceptional in its ability to combine masculinity with a featherweight feel.
