Blush Loves… Diptyque Westbourne Grove

Now I’m a bonafide Westy, I while away my days on Westbourne Grove. The epicentre of Notting Hill, for those who can’t bear the Portobello hustle and bustle, Westbourne Grove isn’t just a great spot to grab a speciality coffee, or an Ottolenghi take out box (although both are absolute musts). Westbourne Grove is a fantastic place to shop, particularly if you love french boutiques and Matches Fashion.

If you’re a Westy OG, you’ll probably remember the original Diptyque store, which has recently undergone an entire redesign and refurb.

I was lucky enough to be invited down to the launch of the new store. With it being Diptyque and on Westbourne Grove, it was  really a no brainer.

When I arrived at the new store, the windows were bedecked in stunning fresh flowers and showcasing the new Londres candle, a love letter to London introduced in celebration, of this reconsidered store.

The store is all you’d hope for and more: glass shelves, housing garden sized tuberose and Feus de Bois candles; classic scents for men and women; and all the little trinkets, and other glories your dressing table could dream of.

Parquet flooring and a respect for the 19th century shop front, are just many of the features that make this cosy, but by no means cramped, store an instant home from home. The Art Deco interior touches, form the perfect backdrop for the hourglass glass diffusers, scented ovals and a library of some 50 scents.

The space has been opened up, and where the new till sits: cute boxes, triple-wrapped in rainbow-coloured tissue paper, individually designed to hint at, the pretty purchase that lies within.

On the night, we were treated to an engraved fragrance of our choice, (I opted for Do Son, a heady medley of orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine), as well as the Londres candle.

What I love about the Londres candle, is that it is exclusive to this city, and means that, as you travel the world, you can collect other signature candles, to fondly remember the places you’ve been.

So if you’re in the area and are looking for the ideal gift for a loved one, or yourself, Diptyque Westbourne Grove, is really the only place to go.
