Last-Minute Christmas Shopping – The Gift Guide

Once again I’ve left my Christmas shopping list to the last minute, but I’m sure you’re all used to this by now. With less than 2 weeks til Christmas, I thought it was about time I compiled my list of all of the things that are top of my Christmas list, that would make perfect gifts for yourself, or you know the loved ones in your life.
When buying beauty gifts, it’s no easy endeavour to buy something non offensive, so a gift set from their favourite, or soon to be favourite, brand is a fail safe way of impressing. As a beauty shop owner myself, it would be remiss of me not to include a few of the products I’m loving from the Slapp Shop.
Happy Christmas shopping everyone!

When it comes to Christmas and candles, we’re spoilt for choice; and right up there with the Diptyques and Jo Malones, is Penhaligons.
The British heritage perfumer is one of my go to brands for dressing table worthy bottles; there’s something about their mini dome toppers that invites immediate affection.
Penhaligons’ Elixir Candle, inspired by the Hammam, is a sensory medley of Turkish rose and jasmine, given an arresting twist with orange, white cedar and cardamom. It’s base notes of vanilla, Tonka beans and red sandalwood are seriously soothing; making this candle, housed in a chic black jar, a magnificent medley of all of my favourite things.

If like me you’ve been desperate to try Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic skincare range, but have been at a loss as to how you can justify spending £60 on face cream, her holiday trio is the ultimate way to test her wares, before shelling out on them. The Gift of Goddess Skin gift-set includes 3 generously sized samples of the: Magic Cream (her holy grail product); the Wonder Glow Balm, a soft focus instant illuminating balm; and the Goddess Skin clay mask.
The whole set will set you back £39, which I’m sure you can appreciate is a whopping saving in comparison to the full-size value of £135. The set comes housed in a cute cardboard briefcase and would make the perfect stocking filler or add-on gift. If, after you’ve tried, you realise your life was nothing before Ms Tilbury’s Magic, then you can soundly invest, rest assured you’ve done your due diligence.
And for the mini tub of magic cream alone it’s worth it.

If you’ve never tried REN skincare, you’ve no doubt seen them in a swanky boutique hotel. The British skincare brand has gone from strength to strength, fast becoming a go to for skincare lovers seeking natural ingredients, fuss-free packaging and a sensory experience.
This season their Christmas gift sets feature the illustrations of silk scarf brand Silken Favours. Each pretty package is a covetable item in its own right; making it a great gift to buy in bulk and bestow upon loved ones all year round.
I opted for the Mini Body set, which features four travel-sized minis from their bestselling Moroccan Rose and Atlantic Kelp ranges.
The Atlantic Kelp collection is much lauded thanks to its high levels of stress relieving magnesium and hydrating hyaluronic acid. The Moroccan rose, as the name suggests, is a heady blend of Anti-inflammatory Otto Rose oil, Neroli to cleanse and refresh, and Chamomile to calm.

If like me you’re always trying to live your best French life, then the Caudalie Christmas Cracker is a must buy.
I fell in love with the brand years ago in Paris and thought its super hydrating Vinoperfect moisturiser was my little secret. But seeing as secrets never stay secret for long, this fabulously French brand is now available worldwide.
This cute stocking filler will elevate the shabbiest of trees. Whilst small in size, its contents are mighty. This rich Bordeaux gift set somehow managed to squeeze in the Eau Fraiche mini perfume, the Des Vins shower gel and nourishing body lotion. All come wrapped in super cute ivy tissue paper, perfect for unwrapping during a weekend away with the fam.
