I don’t check up on as many fashion shows as I used to. Partly because over the last 3-4 years fashion’s mood has been pretty consistent. Nevertheless I’m always on the lookout for something fresh.
Being an owner of a brand championing inclusivity in beauty, I experience frequent internal eye roll, at the many brands attempting to jump on the ethnic bandwagon (ahem, Jigsaw). When done organically, it is done well. And as someone always on the lookout for models of south Asian heritage, I am duly floored by the Osman Pre Fall 18 look book.
I was fortunate enough to attend an Osman show a few seasons back and instantly felt grown up and artsy. His aesthetic is under-the-radar, always-on-point elegance; and considering how long he’s been regarded in the game, it’s incredible that his vision manages to always stay so authentic and fresh. This is Osman Pre Fall (and how I’ll be dressing until Fall ’18).
