Blush Loves: Guerlain L’Essentiel Foundation

Murmurs of a new Guerlain foundation, instantly peaked my interest.

As readers of Blush will know, I love Guerlain, in particular their Terrocata bronzers; so when I heard that the French powerhouse was launching a 30-shade-strong foundation, I had to try it.

Housed in a bottle befitting a luxury perfume, the Guerlain L’Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation, is a dressing table’s dream.

Claiming to give 16hrs wear and skin a perfected, luminous finish, I can attest to two out of three of those claims.

The highly pigmented, rich but incredibly light feeling foundation glides on like a dream, to give skin a natural glow and really does perfect the complexion. One pump is enough for an all over even finish, that feels like more than a tint, and 2-3 pumps is plenty for a full coverage glowy finish.

It isn’t often that a glowy foundation gives great coverage.

A natural healthy glow is usually reserved for skin tints, but Guerlain have created the perfect all year round foundation, for those who want their skin to look like skin, but not really.
